Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla has pleaded not guilty to charges of terrorism and incitement to committing public violence linked to riots sparked by the arrest of her father Jacob Zuma.

The looting happened after her father was imprisoned for contempt of court.

This led Zuma supporters demanding his release in July 2021.

Zuma-Sambudla is accused of using social media to incite public violence.

The unrest led to the deaths of more than 300 people and damage that cost the economy billions of rands.

She is appearing in the Durban high court for the first day of trial on Monday.
