Joburg City Power says there may be delays in its response to outages due to inclement weather, which has caused localised flooding in parts of the city.
The province and other parts of the country were battered by heavy rains over the weekend.
The heavy rains are expected to subside this week, although there is a chance of scattered showers on Monday.
Despite the slower turnaround time, City Power spokesperson Isaac Mangena has assured residents that teams will continue working to restore power.
"Trenching may also be a bit difficult as it is navigating through flooded roads, but the teams will do their best to minimize the impact and ensure quick response."
