Operation Dudula leader Zandile Dabula has expressed dismay over what she says was force used by the police during their protest outside the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg, where the G20 Leaders' Summit is taking place.
Dudula and other concerned groups protested outside the venue for various reasons, including the immigration crisis, poor service delivery, and high unemployment.
While an area near the venue was designated for protests, tensions escalated when members of the controversial group attempted to take their protest closer to the venue.
In response, police used tear gas and pepper spray to stop the demonstrators from moving away from the designated protest zone.

Dabula says she’s disappointed with the police’s response to the protest.
"The sad thing is that the force that they are showing to us as South Africans, they can't show it to criminals. That’s why we have the Madlanga commission. When they are supposed to do the right thing to the criminals, they don’t do it." Dabula said.
She says despite this, they will not stop their demonstrations.
