Murder accused Zane Kilian allegedly organised for Nafiz Modack three hitmen to kill top Lieutenant Charl Kinnear.
Modack and Kilian face charges of murder after Lieutenant Charl Kinnear was shot dead outside his Bishop Lavis home in September 2020.
The incident forms part of the 122 charges Modack faces along with 14 co-accused in the Western Cape High Court.
State prosecutor Greg Wolmarans on Monday used screenshots of WhatsApp messages, taken from co-accused Zane Kilian’s phone, referring to "three armed hitmen".

(Modack) "At no stage did myself and Kilian discuss that, my lord."
Wolmarans told the court in a span of 63 days, Kilian used four out of seven variations of Modack’s name, to communicate about tracking Kinnear.
