PWC leadership transition: Anastacia Tshesane named new CEO

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the auditing firm, has named Anastacia Tshesane as its next CEO.
Tshesane is scheduled to take up the role in July next year after having spent four years as Chairman of both the PWC South Africa Governing Board and the PWC Africa Governance Board.
She will succeed Shirley Machaba, who will retire from the firm at the end of her term in June, concluding a 24-year career at PWC.

PWC Africa CEO Dion Shango stated that the leadership changes are "instrumental for the firm’s growth," adding that Tshesane’s new role will only contribute to "strengthening the auditing profession."
