SA TikTok star Junior King (29) dies in head-on N1 car crash

The family of TikTok star and rapper Dugulth ‘Junior King’ Ferreira confirmed his untimely passing on Thursday, 11 December.

The 29-year-old was involved in a tragic car accident on the N1 in the early morning.

“Junior King was a beloved son, father, brother, and artist whose talent and energy touched countless lives,” the statement reads.

SAPS spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thabo Covane confirms that police and emergency services responded to a head-on collision between a light truck and a car near Verkeerdevlei at 7.25 am.

Three people were injured and taken to the hospital, and one fatality was reported at the scene.

“There were four passengers and the driver inside the Volkswagen Polo. The deceased was seated behind the driver with two children. The two kids, together with the passenger who was occupying the front seat, were rushed to the hospital. Both the driver of the Volkswagen Polo and the truck escaped unharmed.”

Originally from Gqeberha, Ferreria was known for his energetic dance videos and lyrical style on TikTok.

He worked with the likes of Cassper Nyovest, AKA, Costa Titch and Early B. 

He also owned the King Dance Studio for young children in Kariega.
