Primedia Cares, Tile Africa partner for transformative donation to CT shelters

Primedia Cares, in partnership with Tile Africa, has marked the end of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence (GBV) with a transformative donation to local shelters in Cape Town.

The partnership provided new beds and furnishings to St Anne’s Home and Includid Group Home this week.

St Anne’s Spokesperson, Martin Gampu, has described the donation as life-changing.

"That is a milestone. That is something that will change their life. This is a life-changing donation it allows us to take more clients in because now we've got more beds that we can offer for them to sleep on."

Head of Primedia Cares Trish Taylor has called on all levels of society to support efforts to end GBV.

"Primedia Cares is involved in a number of flagship programmes countrywide as we use our resources and most especially our media platforms to accelerate positive social change. We are also uniquely positioned with our generous audiences and our clients that are always willing to step in and also provide a helping hand, whether it's funding, volunteering or goods to be donated."
