KZN police hunt suspects after killing of Crime Intelligence officer

KwaZulu-Natal police are searching for suspects linked to the murder of a Crime Intelligence officer in North of Durban. 

On Thursday, two officers were shot at by unknown gunmen while on duty in the area. 

One died on the scene, while the other was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.

Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says a team of seasoned detectives is investigating the matter. 

"SAPS specialised units, including crime intelligence operatives, detectives, the organised crime unit and highly trained police officers, are working around the clock to track down and apprehend those involved."
