Industry pays tribute to late DJ Warras: 'He was a good man'

The media industry is mourning the loss of Warrick Stock, affectionately known as DJ Warras.
The 40-year-old was shot and killed outside Carlton City in Johannesburg CBD on Tuesday, 16 December.
Police said Stock was ambushed by a suspect and shot multiple times.

Born in Durban, Stock forged a multifacted career, spanning over more than 15 years across radio, television and live performances.
A statement by the family read: “He brought light, laughter, and strength into every space he occupied. His influence and kindness extended far beyond his home, and he was deeply loved by his friends, colleagues, and the wider South African entertainment community.”
Industry peers and supporters took to social media to share tributes and messages of condolences to the family, fondly remembering the DJ.
