Police made a grim discovery early on Friday morning, uncovering the body of a six-year-old boy hidden inside a washing machine at his family home.
The discovery followed a missing person’s report filed by the boy’s father earlier today. Officers accompanied the father back to the residence on Ensor Street in Cafda to conduct a search of the premises.
During the sweep of the property, the search led officers to the washing machine, where the child was found. He was tragically declared dead at the scene.
Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg confirmed the details of the incident and noted that the investigation is ongoing.
"Investigation led police to a washing machine where the body was found," Twigg stated. "A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death."
