Excitement is building ahead of Bafana Bafana’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) clash against Angola tonight.
South Africa will be looking to begin their campaign in Morocco with a strong performance, and confident supporters believe Hugo Broos’ side has what it takes to win.
Speaking to Eyewitness News, fans shared their optimism ahead of the highly anticipated encounter.
"I do have confidence in Bafana Bafana. We struggled a lot last time, but [we are] learning from the previous games that we lost to other teams. I think, at the end, we found ourselves. Hence, I'm saying I'm confident that we are going to win today."
Another supporter was even more bullish about the national team's prospects, dismissed the threat posed by their opponents.
"Ah, we're going over them; we're walking over them. It's a walk in the park. It's one of those. It’s a definite win."
The improvement under the current coaching staff has not gone unnoticed, with fans pointing to recent performances against continental heavyweights as proof of progress.
"We have improved—you can ask the Nigerian team. You can see the build-up from the back. So, I believe in Hugo Broos."
