The Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Development is calling on the public and stakeholders to comment on the draft Traditional Courts Regulations and Code of Conduct.
The drafts are aimed at strengthening traditional customary law, and expand access to justice within the customary law framework.
Spokesperson Terence Manase said that the deadline for written submissions is 13 February 2026.
"The draft framework outlines roles, procedures, training requirements and ethical standards for traditional courts. The ministry urges broad public participation to ensure help ensure traditional courts operate fairly, transparently and in alignment with constitutional and customary values."
