Ramaphosa heads to United Arab Emirates for Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week

President Cyril Ramaphosa will undertake an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. 
 
Ramaphosa, together with four ministers, will attend the summit for two days. 
 
The summit brings together various heads of state and governments, as well as private sector leaders and civil society, to promote multi-stakeholder collaboration, drive large-scale systemic change, and shape the next era of global sustainability.
 
Presidency Spokesperson Vincent Magwenya said South Africa maintains cordial bilateral relations with the UAE, characterised by regular high-level visits as well as robust economic cooperation, for the mutual benefit of both countries. 
 
Magwenya said that SA's exports to the UAE last year totalled almost 2.7 billion dollars. 
 
The UAE is also a major investor in the South African economy across various sectors such as transport, logistics and renewable energy.
