The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety has called on police to leave no stone unturned in probing a fatal crash on the N1-26 Ysterberg route.

Four people were killed on Sunday when an unknown driver failed to comply with the rules of the road.

Three children are among the victims.

"A Haval SUV and a VW Sedan were travelling in one direction when the Haval SUV swerved to avoid an unknown vehicle overtaking on a barrier line, colliding head-on with a Toyota sedan. The VW sedan then collided with the Toyota sedan. The unknown vehicle fled the scene. We are appalled by this senseless tragedy and condemn the driver's reckless behaviour," said the department's Tshifhiwa Dali.
