FlySafair sets standard for punctuality with 91% flights on time

South Africa’s FlySafair has been named the most punctual airline in the Middle East and Africa, achieving an on-time performance rate of 91.06% in 2025, according to Cirium’s annual On-Time Performance Review. 

The airline also operated 98.9% of its scheduled flights, keeping cancellations among the lowest in the region.

FlySafair says this achievement reflects its focus on operational discipline and coordination, with nearly one million passengers flying in December alone. 

Cirium’s review, which benchmarks airlines worldwide, placed Aeromexico as the most punctual airline globally and recognised Qatar Airways for operational excellence.
