The case against the man accused of gunning down two cousins from Mamelodi was expected to return to court on Monday.
Tebogo Mnisi allegedly shot and killed 21-year-old Baleseng and 22-year-old Tshiamo Moramaga in October last year.
He faces two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder for shooting another victim who had been seen with the cousins before the shooting.
The surviving victim, Desmond Senong, was shot in his private parts by 38-year-old Mnisi.
Mnisi was believed to have been in a romantic relationship with one of the cousins.
According to Senong, he had met Baleseng and Tshiamo Moramaga during a night out.
