You're probably smiling from ear to ear, knowing that you've invested your money in gold.
The precious metal broke through the $5,000 an ounce mark for the first time ever on Monday, as investors continue to put their money in 'safe-haven' assets such as gold.
This has been sparked by ongoing global turmoil and geopolitical tensions, as well as the weakening of the U.S dollar, which has long been regarded as a safe-haven currency.
But domestic turmoil in the U.S, as well as the often irrational and erratic behaviour of president Donald Trump has seen investors putting their money in gold for safe-keeping.
Speaking to Stephen Grootes on The Money Show, Sithembile Bopela, investment research analyst at FNB Wealth says many potential invested will still consider investing in gold.
"These are record levels that the gold price has not touched before, so there is an element of traders not wanting to miss out on the rally..."

"I wouldn't make a recommendation per se, but it is something you need to be very cautious about at such stretched levels because you do see the prices quite stretched, but again, you do see those fundamentals very much still in place."
- Sithembile Bopela, investment research analyst - FNB Wealth
"Even from a technical perspective, we still see there might be a near-term consolidation or a pull back in the gold price from the current levels that we're seeing right now, but the bullish underlying story because of the fundamentals is very much still intact.
