The fire in the Piket-Bo-Berg area, which has been burning for more than a week, was contained on Monday but not fully extinguished.
West Coast Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Heinrich Robertson said firefighters remained on high alert and would continue to monitor the fire lines to prevent any flare ups.
Robertson said due to the rugged terrain, crews had to access certain areas on foot.
"During operations, one firefighting vehicle lost traction while navigating [sic] difficult terrain and overturned. Fortunately, no firefighters were injured in the incident," he said.
Robertson said weather conditions in the affected area looked promising to extinguish the blaze.
"Cooler temperatures and reduced wind conditions experienced today [Monday] are expected to support firefighting efforts and improve overall containment."
