According to the provincial health department, six children from the Msintsi location near Berlin and one child from NU3 in Mdantsane were admitted to Cecilia Makiwane Hospital on Saturday.

The children, aged between 4 and 7 years, reportedly presented with symptoms including vomiting, diarrhoea and dizziness.

Information from parents indicates that the six children had been playing together and ate chips before falling ill.
