A State witness who admits to being involved in "Steroid King" Brian Wainstein's murder is set to continue his testimony in the Western Cape High Court on Monday.
The witness, who remains anonymous to protect his identity, has been testifying in the high-profile trial against alleged underworld figures Jerome ‘Donkie’ Booysen and 11 others.
Booysen and his co-accused face 36 charges for various crimes, including the murder of Wainstein in August 2017.
Since the start of the trial two years ago, alleged underworld figures Mark Lifman and Andre Naude, along with three other accused, have been killed.
The State witness, identified as Mister X, already testified to being present at a meeting when Booysen and the now-deceased Lifman and Naude allegedly plotted Wainstein's murder.
Mister X admits to being involved in the murder in an alleged plot by the three to take over Wainstein's illegal steroid business.
The witness told the court that he was also an informant for the criminal intelligence police officers investigating Wainstein at the time.
Mister X said that he received R120,000 for information that helped police make steroid busts on Wainstein.
