EC road accident claims 7 lives

Seven people have died in a horrific car crash near on the N2 highway near the Bulembu Airport outside Qonce in the Eastern Cape.

A preliminary report from the province’s Department of Transport suggests that a bakkie carrying six occupants collided with a light motor vehicle before crashing into another bakkie. 

Eastern Cape Transport and Safety spokesperson Unathi Binqose explained: “We are calling on road users, motorists in particular, to be extra cautious and vigilant because one death on our roads is one too many,y and we are calling on them to take responsibility when they are on the road to prevent any further tragedies.”
