Friends and family of the two women who were shot dead, along with a nine-month-old baby, in an Athlone drug den on Tuesday night, are still reeling in shock after the tragic incident.
Police said the infant and the two women, aged 25 and 36, were fatally wounded at a residence in Sunbird Court in Bridgetown at about 10pm on Tuesday, while two others were injured and taken to hospital.
Recovering drug addict Portia Tabisher said she was trying to help her best friend, Naheema, stop using drugs.
"When I got here they told me that Naheema had passed away and her friend as well, that stayed opposite the road, she was also gun shot".
Muneeb Latoe, the father of Toufieka Latoe, who was also shot dead, says he is struggling to process his only daughter's murder.
"No matter what your child is. No matter what they do... your child is your child".
Bridgetown residents say it is the second time a fatal shooting has occurred at the same residence.
