Suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya is appearing before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on Wednesday.

Sibiya kicked off his testimony by going through portions of his 18-page CV, detailing some of his major achievements in policing.

He's been accused of having links to criminal kingpins in Gauteng, with specific regard to alleged criminal tender tycoon Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala.

He highlighted that he has qualifications are related to investigations that not many police officers have.

“Of importance is the investigation course - that all the people who are accusing me, all of them that are investigating me don’t have an investigation course, all of them. Anybody who has been here to talk about me, they don’t have this course, they’ve never been trained as detectives and they are not detectives.”
