City of Ekurhuleni is set to meet with Tembisa Community Forum on Monday morning amid protest action
Residents took to the streets to air out their frustrations over a number of issues, including electricity disconnections.

The metro said it is working to address the concerns that have been raised by the East Rand residents.
The city’s Phakamile Mbengashe said they are looking to create a structured debt relief for residents.
“The City of Ekuruleni notes the protests in Tembisa and acknowledges the concerns around termination letters, credit control measures and billing queries raised by residents. We want to assure residents that these matters are actively being addressed."
