Travellers are urged to check their flight details after a fire temporarily disrupted operations at Cape Town International Airport.
On Tuesday, a fire broke out in the Northern Service Yard along the international inner lane on the landside of the airport.
While emergency crews managed to extinguish the blaze quickly, smoke affected sections of the international terminal, prompting a precautionary evacuation.
Airport officials said all passengers and staff were evacuated safely and calmly, with no injuries reported.
Although power has now been fully restored at the Cape Town International Airport, the knock-on effects are still being felt.
International departures have resumed, but delays and schedule changes are expected following the earlier suspension.
Several international arrivals were diverted during the incident, and passengers are being advised to confirm updated arrival times directly with their airlines.
Domestic flights also experienced minor disruptions due to temporary system outages, and some delays may persist as technical teams stabilise network and IT systems.
Airport management has thanked travellers and airline partners for their patience and praised emergency response teams for their swift response.
