Police probe fatal shooting at Atlantis secondary school

Police in Atlantis, Cape Town, are investigating a fatal shooting at a secondary school in Palmer Avenue, Avondale.
Officers arrived at the scene on Wednesday afternoon and found a minibus taxi parked outside the school.
Inside was the body of a 42-year-old taxi driver.
In the school yard, officers also found the body of a 14-year-old girl who had been shot several times in the chest.
The police’s FC van Wyk said two other pupils, aged 14 and 16, were also wounded in the attack.
“According to reports, an unidentified male approached the taxi driver while he was waiting to load the children and randomly started shooting at the driver as well as the waiting children in the taxi. Atlantis police registered two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder for investigation."
