PARIS - Air France announced Saturday it is suspending flights to Dubai and Riyadh, expanding regional service halts that already included Tel Aviv and Beirut, in the wake of US and Israeli strikes on Iran.

The airline also said it would extend its Tel Aviv flight suspensions through Sunday.

"Due to the security situation at the destination, the airline has decided to cancel its flights scheduled for February 28, 2026, and March 1, 2026, to and from Tel Aviv," the carrier said in a statement.

It added that for February 28, it was also cancelling flights to and from Dubai, and Riyadh, in addition to Beirut.

Flights across the Middle East were being cancelled Saturday as several countries announced at least partial closures of their airspaces.

Earlier Saturday, the United States and Israel launched strikes against Iran, with US President Donald Trump vowing to "annihilate" the country's navy and missile sites.
