Five suspects linked to the mass shooting in Philippi East in Cape Town over the weekend are expected to appear in the Athlone Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Four people were killed, and one was injured when gunmen opened fire on Saturday in the Marikana informal settlement.
Police believe the attack may be linked to extortion.
The incident is the second mass shooting in the Marikana area in less than two months.
On 17 January, nine people were shot and killed at a tavern in the settlement, while another person was wounded.
Two suspects have since been arrested in connection with that case.
The latest attack brings the total number of people killed in mass shootings in the area to 13.
Police are now urging residents of Marikana to come forward with any information about other crimes that may be linked to the suspects.
