Ramaphosa says giving back previously dispossessed land restores their dignity

President Cyril Ramaphosa at title deed handover in KZN to redress historical land dispossession and restore land rights to rightful beneficiaries.
President Cyril Ramaphosa said that giving back previously dispossessed land to its rightful owners speaks to restoring their human dignity.
On Friday Ramaphosa handed over tittle deeds to people whose land was forcefully taken away during the apartheid in Umzimkhulu in Kwazulu-Natal.
The president described the way the land was taken from people as an injustice.
"Millions of people were forced off their farms to make way for white settlements, their lives stock as in cattle, as in goats, as sheep and chickens as in everything was taken away from them.”
