SASSA confirms grant payment dates for April 2026

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed social grant payment dates for April 2026:

- Older Persons Grant: Thursday, 2 April 2026

- Disability Grant: Tuesday, 7 April 2026

- Children’s Grant: Wednesday, 8 April 2026 

Beneficiaries will also receive increased amounts from April 202, as previously announced in Minister of Finance Enoch Godongwana's Budget Speech.

The Older Persons Grant, Disability Grant and Care Dependency Grant will increase by R80 to R2,400.

The War Veterans Grant will increase by R80 to R2,420.

The Foster Child Grant will increase by R40 to R1,290.

The Child Support Grant and Grant-In-Aid will increase by R20 to R580.

SASSA appeals to beneficiaries who have not received their grants on the specified dates to visit their nearest local offices for assistance.
