Cape Town: hot, sunny and bright

The Mother City is set for a very warm day with a high of 30°C and plenty of sunshine.

By night, temperatures will drop to 18°C with increasing cloudiness. Winds will shift to north-northwest at 17 km/h, with gusts up to 41 km/h.

Johannesburg: thunderstorms likely

Johannesburg will see a cooler day with a high of 23°C.

A thunderstorm is expected in the morning, followed by a mix of clouds and sunshine.

The UV index is very high at 8.0.

There is a 55% chance of rain and a 33% chance of thunderstorms; around 0.3 mm is expected.

Winds will be light from the north-northeast at 11 km/h, with gusts reaching 28 km/h.

At night, temperatures drop to 14°C with a thunderstorm likely in the evening. Rainfall could reach 7.8 mm, with a 42% chance of thunderstorms. Cloud cover will increase to 83%.

Pretoria: scattered storms and warm conditions

Pretoria will be warm with a high of 26°C and partly sunny skies.
