Moya ‘confident’ new Tshwane MMC Monama will help improve service delivery

Tshwane Mayor Nasiphi Moya said she’s confident the city’s newly appointed Corporate and Shared Services MMC, Flora Monama, will strengthen the city’s efforts to improve service delivery.

Monama was appointed to the position on Wednesday, replacing ActionSA councillor Kholofelo Morodi, who was recently fired as an MMC and from the party.

She was given the boot after being implicated at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry for allegedly attempting to manipulate tenders.

Moya said she’s confident that Monama will not go down a similar route as her predecessor.

Mayoral spokesperson Samkelo Mgobozi said, “Cllr Monama’s background positions her well to strengthen these systems and ensure that the city’s internal functions effectively support service delivery across all departments. 

“I am confident that Cllr Monama will provide stable, capable, and focused leadership in this critical portfolio, strengthening the city’s internal capacity to support service delivery.”
