While those in the corporate world are no strangers to PowerPoint decks, the dating clubs are now using the idea to 'Pitch a Friend'.

The viral trend sees people go offline and put their slide deck skills to good use to hopefully find a suitable match for their friend in a room full of singles.

The three to five-minute presentations include a picture of the person, what they are looking for, and their interests and dislikes.

Similar events have popped up in countries around the world, including Australia, Canada, the UK, and the United States.

@pitchandpairnyc The only event where your bestie builds a slide deck… about you. Bonus: there’s a social mixer after to connect with all the pitchers. It’s a blast and a unique way to meet someone new. The next event is at @SLATENYC ♬ original sound - Pitch and Pair NYC
