Bradley Nkoana reflects on Olympic medal, World Relay Champs: 'The highlight of my career!'

His name has been etched in the record books for South African athletics. 

The 20-year-old was part of the relay team that took gold at the 4 x 100m at the World Relay Championships in China this month and silver at the Paris Olympics in 2024.

A big part of the team's success has been capitalising on their individual talent and focusing on what they need to do for the team’s success.

“We are in an individual sport that requires teamwork when it is time for the relays.”

“Every time we step on the track, we just tell each other to focus on what we need to do. I just need to count 27, look at the guy coming and take out my hand after six steps, and receive the baton. That’s my job.”
