DJ Warras was in the process of creating a “blueprint” to deal with hijacked buildings within Johannesburg’s inner city.
This is according to Warrick Stock’s close friend and business associate, Nicole Nelson. Speaking exclusively to EWN on Wednesday afternoon, Nelson claimed that Stock clearly ruffled the feathers of figures in the underworld.
Nelson alleges that Stock was targeted because of a blueprint he was establishing to address the hijacking of buildings in the Joburg CBD.
"He ruffled the feathers of people in the underworld who co-exist with state structures," she said.
According to Nelson, Warras was contracted earlier this year to assist attorneys managing a hijacked building called Zambesi House in the inner city.
"He was doing it and he had the right team backing it and we were on an upward trajectory. We had a solution that clearly isn’t good for business, but whose business?"
Through his security company, Imperium Ops, Warras filed a briefing report in July following an audit of those living in the building.
