The Basic Education Employment Initiative (BEEI) will create more than 200,000 short-term work opportunities nationally.
These will be teaching assistant positions that are paid, structured, and come with mentorship and training.
The stipend is R4,000 a month over 6 months - with other benefits.
It is open to anyone aged 18-34, who is currently unemployed and will focus on placing applicants in the community where they live.
They are also encouraging people with disabilities, young women, and those from rural/underserved communities to apply.
This initiative forms part of the wider Presidential Employment Stimulus.
Anyone interested in a position can apply on sayouth.mobi (no data is required).
