Humanoid robots race against humans in historic half-marathon in Beijing

Gilchrist starts off with the shocking story of a woman in Brazil who sent poisoned Easter eggs to her former boyfriend's new family, resulting in the death of one child and the hospitalisation of another.

In lighter news, China has staged a half-marathon race where humanoids competed with humans. Twenty-one robots took part, with one in particular displaying scarily humanlike behaviour...

"One of the robots at the start line took one step, fell over flat on his face, and then after a few seconds got up and mooched off in the opposite direction... EXACTLY the human response that you would expect."
