JOHANNESBURG - The Judicial Conduct Tribunal has postponed the hearings into the allegations of sexual harassment against Eastern Cape Judge President, Selby Mbenenge, to 30 June.

The postponement is due to the unavailability of witnesses on Mbenenge’s side.

Earlier, the panel also ruled for the introduction of another witness, Lisa Vetten, an expert, to provide witness testimony on power dynamics in the workplace.

Tribunal chairperson, retired judge president Bernard Ngoepe, said, “ [No] witnesses at this stage. The matter has been postponed to the period 30 June to 11 July 2025. Proceedings are adjourned.”
