Netcare’s ‘My Walk Made with Soul’ campaign ensures that children from disadvantaged homes have a pair of shoes to wear to school.
High-quality PVC material from drip bags is reclaimed from Netcare hospitals and converted into brand-new, fully recyclable school shoes for kids.
Since its inception in 2015, over 300,000 children have gotten a new pair of school shoes to support them on their educational journey.
“My mother insisted on one thing as a school teacher, that you will have a new pair of shoes every year to restore your dignity.”
– Richard Friedland, CEO – Netcare
“It’s an enormous unmet need in our country, and hence this project was born together with Adcock Ingram.”
– Richard Friedland, CEO – Netcare
You can contribute to the initiative by donating R35 for one pair of school shoes for a child in need.
