Johannesburg residents should prepare for water disruptions this week, as Rand Water carries out planned maintenance to replace bulk magnetic flow and mechanical meters at several reservoirs.
The work is expected to cause low water pressure or complete outages in Honeydew and Forest Hill.

Honeydew
Maintenance period: 28 July 2025 at 18:00 to 29 July 2025 at 06:00
Affected Johannesburg Water systems: Honeydew, Cornelius, Weltevreden HP, Weltevreden, Cornimore
Forest Hill
Maintenance period: 30 July 2025 at 06:00 to 30 July 2025 at 20:00
Affected areas: Abattoir and Market, various streets in the area
According to Johannesburg Water, the upgrades aim to improve service delivery and ensure better continuity of supply.
Full recovery of the water supply may take one to three days once the maintenance work is completed.
