A massive fire in Kalk Bay is causing severe delays along the main road.

Cape Town has had a devastating fire season that is continuing to cause significant damage.

Table Mountain National Park says that two Huey helicopters, and a spotter plane, alongside the City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services are responding to the fire along Boyes Drive, near Trappieskop.

Boyes Drive has been closed to traffic as a result of the blaze.

TrafficSA has warned of heavy traffic delays, as the fire services aim to stop the spread of the fire.

Social media users have been sharing pictures and videos of the towers of smoke rising from the mountains.
