Police uncover crucial lead in murder of Likhona Fose, reveals Joburg's Safety MMC
The teen’s mutilated body was found not far from her home in Durban Deep, west of Johannesburg, a day after she went missing over the weekend.
JOHANNESBURG - Joburg MMC for Public Safety, Mgcini Tshwaku, has revealed that police have uncovered a crucial lead in the case of the murdered 14-year-old, Likhona Fose.
The teen’s mutilated body was found not far from her home in Durban Deep, west of Johannesburg, a day after she went missing over the weekend.
Tshwaku was speaking at the teen’s memorial service on Thursday afternoon at Nkone Maruping Primary School in Braamfiscverville, in the south of Johannesburg.
Fose’s family, friends and community members are gathered this afternoon to honour her life
MMC Tshwaku says a tactical unit has been roped in to find the perpetrators.
“We need to ensure that a tactical unit is here, and it must go and find the person who killed uLikhona. That is what I’m standing here to commit. We said we don't sleep, 24 hours we go and get the bastards.”
