Listen below:

Nedbank Business Ignite on 702 aims to celebrate, recognise, and reward small businesses doing great things.

This year, the competition focused on businesses that have successfully scaled up sustainably.

The winner walks away with R200,000 cash and a R200,000 advertising package.

“The real work starts now. This has been a great platform and opportunity and has given us exposure as a young business.”
- Sibongile Mongadi, Founder of Ukuhamba

This year’s winner was Ukuhamba, a company that utilises waste materials to produce affordable prosthetics with a 3D printer.

These prosthetics are lighter, more flexible, and much more cost-effective than traditional prosthetics.

Mongadi states she was motivated to start this business after suffering a gum infection.
