Kfm Mornings welcomed Dobbo with his favourite song, Beyoncé's Single Ladies... now, onto business.

Dobson says he is pleased with his team’s pre-season preparations ahead of their new Vodacom United Rugby Championship (URC) campaign.

The team played its only warm-up game against the Sharks in George last Friday, going down 26-17. But as Dobson pointed out, results in pre-season fixtures are secondary to testing combinations and giving players game time.

The Stormers kick off their URC campaign against defending champions, Leinster, at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town on Friday, 26 September. Kick-off is at 7 pm.

"The team is tight, organised and focused... I think we're perfect... our injury rate is reasonably low for pre-season. We've got some fantastic new players of late... It's a really good and tight squad."
