BOKSBURG - Both the Electricity and Water Ministers are expected to give presentations to the African National Congress (ANC) in Gauteng on Monday on how they are respectively solving issues related to load shedding and water provision plaguing the province.
The ANC in Gauteng is currently holding its lekgotla at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg.
The event is to map out the party’s programme of action for the year ahead, and finalise its election strategy.
ANC provincial secretary Thembinkosi Nciza says electricity and water are the foremost important issues for residents in Gauteng.
He said the ruling party needed to communicate a clear plan to voters on how it planned to resolve them.
“We want to urge the people of Gauteng if they still want to see a very strong government that is action-based, which has got experience of the last 30 years, which understands the people of this province, and that will always be on the side of the poor, let them go out in their numbers and register to vote for the ANC.”
