Mokonyane says ANC confident of its voter pitch
As the ANC launched its election manifesto this weekend, Nomvula Mokanyane says the party has never shied away from the country's realities.

DURBAN - As the ANC prepares to sell its manifesto to South Africans, it says it's continuously working to address perceptions that it is corrupt, dysfunctional and even distant from communities.
Mokonyane spoke to Eyewitness News on the sidelines of a clean-up campaign in and around the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday, a day after the launch of its manifesto.
She believes the party has gone far enough to make its sales pitch to voters.

While quizzed about the ANC's credibility crisis, Mokanyane says the party has always owned up to its challenges.
"Because this is a protracted task, we can't come with new priorities. We come with more emphasis on how to realise those priorities. We've even gone to an extent to say we won't come back to you after five years without an implementation plan, which is unique this time."
Mokanyane says their manifesto is aimed at those who remain undecided about who to vote for in the 2024 elections and beyond.
