During holidays like Easter, there's increased traffic on the roads and in some cases, deadly accidents occur due to drunk driving.
If you are under the influence while driving, your judgment and reaction times are affected, hence there is a greater chance of you causing an accident.
Aware.org has partnered with the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) and local police departments to raise awareness on bad driver behaviour and to encourage drivers to make better choices during the Easter holidays.
Thulo believes that if there are more roadblocks and if the visibility of law enforcement officers on the road is bulked up, then people are less likely to take on risky behaviour.
"We know this is not just an end-of-year or an Easter time problem."
