MK supporters gather for manifesto launch, call for Zuma to return to power

JOHANNESBURG - Umkhonto weSizwe party supporters believe their leader Jacob Zuma has unfinished business with the country.
While Zuma has been elected the maximum number of times for a state president, his supporters say he should return to lead South Africa.

The party is launching its election manifesto at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday.
Thousands of MK supporters travelled from across the country to attend the launch.
Sizwe Mvelase from Durban said that life has regressed for ordinary South Africans since Zuma resigned as president in 2018.
"Everything has gone up, including food and petrol. Everything is now expensive."
Fikile Mbele, also from Durban, said that Zuma will not be held back by the ANC if he returns to power.
"We are happy to be here and very excited because our children’s future looks very bright. We pray God blesses the MK Party and Jacob Zuma."
Zuma is expected to deliver the party's manifesto later on Saturday.
