It said this is no longer a water shortage but a failure of governance and is calling for urgent action and accountability.
Gauteng DA leader Solly Msimanga said the day should not be one of celebration
"Today we're not celebrating. We should never celebrate Human Rights Day when people's rights are trampled on every day. We should be dipping our heads in shame and say, when did we get it wrong," said Msimanga.
