MIDRAND - The Electoral Commission (IEC) said that all voting stations were fully operational despite disruptions at some stations.
The IEC on Wednesday afternoon provided an update on progress made at voting stations across the country as millions have been queueing to vote.
It said that only a handful of the over 23,000 voting stations reported issues.

The list included a lack of ballots and system glitches but the IEC paid special attention to the affected areas.
IEC deputy CEO, Masego Sheburi, said that although avoidable and disappointing, the issues that affected some voting stations served as a reminder that the commission could do more.
He also explained what happens once vote counting was complete.
"Once the votes are done, we produce results slips in duplicates. Party agents are allowed to take a photo, then one is placed outside the voting station as a public announcement."
